BAND - CONCERT
(INTERMEDIATE BAND)

The Concert Band is made up of students wishing to develop their skills in the wind or percussion idiom. Membership is limited to students who have at least one year of band experience and the permission of the director.  In addition to meeting one period per school day, students are expected to attend events and performances outside of the regular school day at the discretion of the director.  At the discretion of the director, some members of the Concert Band may be a part of the Marching Band.  Members of this program are eligible to participate in all co-curricular ensembles such as Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Chamber Symphony, etc.  The program engages in regular fund raising as the costs for full participation can run from $300 to $500 in a given school year.  Participation in fund raising is optional.  Some financial support is available for students demonstrating need.  The band also relies on county and school funds as well as donations.  There is an active Band & Guard Boosters organization.

BAND - MARCHING

The Marching Band is made up of all the members of the Symphonic Band, Fall Guard and possibly some select members of the Concert Band.    In addition to meeting one period per school day (except Guard), students are expected to attend events and performances outside of the regular school day at the discretion of the director.  The program engages in regular fund raising.  See the specific description for your group to ascertain what the cost might be. Participation in fund raising is optional.  Some financial support is available for students demonstrating need.  This band program also relies, in part, on county and school funds as well as donations.   There is an active Band & Guard Boosters organization.
 

BAND – SYMPHONIC
(ADVANCED BAND)

The Symphonic Band is chosen by rigorous audition during January of the prior school year.  Membership is limited by both skill and instrumentation.   In addition to meeting one period per school day, students are expected to attend events and performances outside of the regular school day at the discretion of the director.  All members of the Symphonic Band are required to be a part of the Marching Band.   Members of this program are eligible to participate in all co-curricular ensembles such as Jazz Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, Chamber Symphony, etc.  The program engages in regular fund raising as the costs for full participation can run from $400 to $700 in a given school year.  Participation in fund raising is optional.  Some financial support is available for students demonstrating need.  The band also relies on county and school funds as well as donations. There is an active Band & Guard Boosters organization.
