VARSITY TEAM
JUNIOR VARSITY TEAM
Yorktown has Varsity and
Junior
Varsity Field Hockey teams, which play during the Fall. Team
members
are selected based on tryouts in August, which include fitness and
skills
evaluation. Team members should maintain at least a C average
GPA.
Practices are held after school Monday through Friday from mid-August
to
early November. Eighth graders may try out for the for the Junior
Varsity team in August. Field Hockey receives county funds;
additional
funds are gained through fund raising activities.
